Pricing Considerations
As a general rule, clients utilizing services provided by our affiliates in Istanbul save between 50-80% of the same procedure as it costs in the U.S.
This chart provides a basic comparison of common procedure pricing between the U.S. and overseas hospitals as a whole. As pricing will vary depending on the client’s origination and destination, we have provided a pricing range for general comparison purposes only. Estimated pricing for each procedure is determined after a treatment plan is developed for each individual client, as the uniqueness of each circumstance will affect the final pricing but FINAL pricing can only be determined after an in-person examination and consultation – though GHA-affiliate estimates are accurate 95% of the time.

Pricing Considerations
The GHA understands that price is an important factor when our clients consider traveling outside of the U.S. for healthcare. Actually, pricing consideration is probably the primary motivator for most medical tourists, though such travel does not come without worries about quality – that’s where GHA clients have the edge. With our focus on managing risk and lessening our client’s exposure to it, our clients are comfortable, happy, and always satisfied. Unlike most Medical Tourism Facilitators who try to sell their customers a low price, we at the GHA provide a valuable service to our clients, because our focus is completely different – our client’s safety and comfort are our goal.
There are many other factors to be considered before choosing a surgeon or hospital, and our GHA Reps are here to help when it comes decision time. While it is up to each client to decide for themselves, we at the GHA have a philosophy which is the driving force behind our operation: Safety first. Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best, “Health is the first wealth”. We intend to help our clients keep that wealth… The primary goal of the GHA is to assist each of our clients choose the safest route, with the least risk, and come out the other side with an improved quality of life…all with the consideration of competitive pricing. With that being said, please consider the following:
- NEVER choose a surgeon or hospital solely based on price
- The GHA was created specifically to provide our clients a low-risk environment for overseas healthcare: competitive pricing was a factor, yes, but we put safety, comfort, and risk management first
- We have found that anyone can find almost any price they are looking for over the Internet when searching for health tourism options. It is because of this very fact that our clients are strongly cautioned to consider the GHA philosophy and seek our help
- We suggest to our clients’their challenge is to find the best VALUE, not the lowest price
- The GHA firmly believes any price lower than what our medical affiliates offer probably comes with reduced benefits, degraded services, or does not include the completion of (possibly necessary) procedures
- When researching costs abroad, be sure to compare all related expenses of receiving surgery overseas. The only way to accomplish this is to provide a host of information about a specific medical condition in order to receive an accurate itemized quotation. Beware of “package pricing” and “Package deals”
- Clients should ONLY consider cost estimates that are based on the full assessment of their personal condition after a qualified physician or surgeons reviews their case after full details are provided: “package pricing” rarely, if ever, considers unique medical needs
- Before traveling, a medical tourist SHOULD receive a very detailed, personalized, price estimate that itemizes all related costs: it should be as transparent and come with guarantees like the GHA offers
- One rule of thumb is this: if the procedure being considered costs less than $6,000 in the U.S. it is generally not financially advantageous to travel abroad for treatment. This is not always the case, but it is considered a point to note when budgeting a procedure or treatment. Once the price of airfare, hotel accommodations, and other travel essentials is added together, the net price of such procedures may exceed what is paid at home.
